Our Story

Why we built this

Enterprise AI is broken. Companies spend months and hundreds of thousands of dollars on projects that never reach production. Regulated industries have it worse. Finance, healthcare, defense, and critical infrastructure all run into the same wall: most AI platforms need cloud access, and that rules them out on day one.

We built MLX Serve because that engine did not exist. It runs any model on hardware you own. It speaks the OpenAI, Anthropic, and Ollama APIs on one port, so the tools your teams already use keep working. Agents and skills stay as plain files in git. And there is no Python in it: one code-signed binary, no interpreter, no dependency tree.

AI StackOps is the services company that takes MLX Serve from open-source project to production. We build the orchestration, knowledge pipelines, and governance around it that a regulated environment needs. We scope, build, and hand off working AI workflows in two weeks, with controls in place from day one.

Former FBI Unit Chief specializing in cyber and counterterrorism investigations for 12 years. CISO at Web.com (parent of Network Solutions) where he implemented Zero Trust and DevSecOps. CISO at CSX, a Fortune 300 railroad, securing critical U.S. infrastructure. Co-founded Start Left Security.

Origin story: Spent years trying to keep AI-driven threat intelligence in sync across policies, tools, and configs at enterprise scale. Everything on the market was either too limited or too cloud-dependent for isolated OT environments.

David Dalcu

20+ years of full-stack software engineering and engineering management. Software Engineering Manager at Upstart (AI-native lending). Previously built platforms at Web.com and Citibank. Founder of Dalcu LLC, specializing in custom app development, integrations, and cloud/AI solutions.

Origin story: Wanted to wire AI agents together to automate development work and cut engineering costs. There was no standard way to do it. Built MLX Serve to fill that gap.
